About the club

Three decades of disciplined shooting in Sydney.

Founded in 1995, City Pistol Club is a Sydney-based competition pistol club dedicated to safe, structured and skilful pistol shooting. We meet monthly at the Auburn SSAA Indoor Shooting Range.

Our story

From a handful of shooters to a Sydney institution

TODO: Replace with the real club history. City Pistol Club was founded in 1995 by a group of Sydney shooters who wanted a structured home for serious-but-friendly pistol competition. From those early days the club has grown into a stable monthly programme of matches, coaching and social shooting.

TODO: Add notable milestones — championships, long-serving members, charity events, range upgrades, etc.

Today the club continues that founding vision: safety, skill and community come first, and shooting performance follows.

Mission

What we stand for

  • Safety first. Range standing orders are non-negotiable; every member is a range officer in spirit.
  • Skill over equipment. Open and Standard divisions welcome — your fundamentals matter more than your gear.
  • Welcoming & structured. New shooters are paired with experienced members for their first matches.
  • Sportsmanship. Competitive on the line, supportive off it.
